This will be an open meeting and notice has been given to the public at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the meeting by forwarding the complete agenda to the Oconto County Reporter. Copies of the agenda were available for inspection at the office of Administrator. The agenda can also be found on the City of Oconto website:

1. Meeting called to order by Mayor Nerenhausen.
2. Roll Call
3. Invocation and pledge of allegiance
4. Approval of agenda as presented.
5. Public Appearances/Correspondence/Receipt of Public Input
a. Dept of Commerce – EECBG
6. Approval and place on file the minutes as typed.
7. Discussion/action on:
a. Lease Agreement for Kiwanis for Storage Buildings on Evergreen
Road.
b. Update on insurance for Oconto Walleye Tournament.
c. Recommendation from BPW to hire Larry Behnke as a laborer for the Public Works Dept; said vacancy was due to a retirement in that
dept at the end of 2009.
d. Recommendation from Police & Fire Commission to request the funding to replace a fire engine. Engine #1 was removed from service
two weeks ago.
8. Adjournment of the Old Council, sine die.
Before the start of the meeting, Tom Fulton will provide Letter of
Resignation as Alderperson at Large.
Newly Elected Officials will be given Oath & Seated.
First Meeting of the New Council
1. Mayor Fulton will call to order the first meeting of the New Council

4. Recommendation from Mayor Fulton to appoint Pete Nelson to fill the vacant Alderperson at Large position.
5. Conduct of Meetings; Recognition of Council Members and the
public.

7. Alderperson Wittkopf Reading of Motion # 1 – Dates & Times of
Meetings
8. Alderperson Zahn Reading of Motion # 2 – Adoption of Roberts
Rules of Order
9. Alderperson Doeren Reading of Motion # 3 – Rules governing
resolutions & ordinances.
10. Alderperson Maas Reading of Motion # 4 – Process for payment of
Invoices.
11. Alderperson Nelson Reading of Motion # 5 –That the Administrator has the authority by Ordinance Sec 3-2-12(b) to place any delinquent
special charges for current services on the current or next tax roll as a
delinquent tax against the property.
12. Alderperson Young Reading of Motion # 6 – That the Oconto County Reporter be declared the Official Newspaper for the City of
Oconto publishing the council proceedings and for all other notices.
The publisher is to furnish a copy of said paper to the elected officials
and department heads that are now being furnished one.
13. Alderperson Schreiber Reading of Motion # 7 - Designation of
Committee of the Whole as the Board of Health for the City of
Oconto.
14. Resolution designating public depositories and withdrawals for
the City of Oconto.
15. Nominations for Council President
16. Vote for Council President
17. Discussion/approval of Mayor’s recommendation for appointments and reappointments to the committees and commissions.
18. Discussion/action on establishing date and time for Finance Committee meetings.
19. Discussion/action on upcoming Davis & Kuelthau and League
dinner meeting and new official’s workshop.
20. Discussion/action on City Attorney position and hiring on an interim basis.
21. Committee of the Whole meeting, Tuesday, May 5th, 2009.
