PFC Minutes 6/23/2010

Minutes of the Police & Fire Commission meeting held on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 pursuant to notice duly given.

1. Meeting called to order by President Hayes at 6 p.m.

2. Roll Call: Ron Hayes, Gene Berth, Tim Longsine, Steve Gering and Jim Lacourciere.
Also present: Chief Dale Carper

3. Moved by Lacourciere seconded by Berth to approve of the agenda as presented.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 5 ayes

4. Hayes stated the commission may vote to convene into Closed Session pursuant to notice duly given and as allowed by Wis. Stats. 19.85(1) (c)
for interviewing of selected applicants for the part-time Police Officer position(s);
Moved by Gering seconded by Longsine to convene into Closed Session at 6:01 p.m.
Motion carried upon verbal roll call vote. 5 ayes

Closed Session

5. Moved by Longsine seconded by Gering to reconvene into Open Session
at 7:38 p.m. pursuant to notice duly given and as allowed by Wis. Stats. 19.85(2).
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 5 ayes

6. Discussion /possible recommendation regarding the hiring of part-time Police Officers;
Moved by Longsine seconded by Lacourciere to have Chief Carper extend offers to Erek Belongia, Carly Resch and Nate Winistorfer for the positions of part-time Police Officers.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 5 ayes

7. Moved by Longsine seconded by Lacourciere to adjourn. M/C
