Minutes of the Public Hearing & Meeting for the Board of Appeals held on Thursday, May 26th, 2011 pursuant to notice duly given.
3:45 p.m. Board members went and inspected 818 Main Street, Oconto, WI on the request for a variance to the City of Oconto Ordinances.
4:05 p.m. Chairperson Hayes called to order the public hearing and meeting of the Board of Appeals pursuant to notice duly given.
Present: Ron Hayes, Chairperson, Ken Hayes, Mike Pecor and Rob Lane. Excused: Wm. Pries. Absent: Dick Doeren and Brian Rice. Also present: Ron Banach, Building Inspector/Assessor and Linda Belongia Administrator and as recording secretary.
No public appearances/correspondence regarding the variance request.
Discussion on request from Vince and Debbie Crivello, for property they own at 818 Main Street, Oconto, WI for a variance from Section 13-1-46(g)(2) which states when abutting residential and conservancy, the setback is twenty (20) feet; when abutting industrial or commercial properties, no setback is required, they are abutting a residentially zoned property.
Banach stated if the property was zoned commercial, would not need variance…zoning was established the way the map was made up in 1993;
Vince Crivello stated all he needs is a 10’ setback, then he’ll remove the trailer they are using for storage;
Moved by Lane seconded by Ken Hayes to approve of the variance request for the 10’ setback as requested by Vince and Debbie Crivello.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote 4 ayes
Moved by Pecor seconded by Ken Hayes to adjourn. M/C
