Minutes of the Oconto Board of Public Works committee meeting held on Wednesday,
March 17, 2010.

1. Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairperson Hayes
2. ROLL CALL: Ron Hayes, John Wittkopf, Scott Stewart and Ken Exferd
Also present: Bob Mommaerts Absent: Mike Destache
3. Moved by Exferd second by Stewart to approve agenda as presented.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 4 ayes
Hayes stated that in fairness and due to conflict of interest he asked Scott Stewart to recues himself …also had asked Jeremy Wusterbarth to do the same; Exferd stated his son-in-law was on the list of applicants to be considered for the laborer position; Exferd was recused after giving his recommendations;
Destache arrived at 6:02 p.m.
4. DISCUSSION/RECOMMENDATION/ACTION ON THE FOLLOWING:
a) Review of applications for Laborer Position;
Hayes stated he would like to try to get a manageable number to be considered for interviews…10 at the most, 5 recommended; Hayes requested each member to give there recommendations and have the clerk keep a tally of the number of votes each applicant receives; Discussion.
Moved by Wittkopf second by Destache to interview the following applicants for the laborer position: Larry Behnke, Jr., Richard Ellman, Scott Stewart, Benjamin Helnore, Terry Barribeau and Jamie Schlueter;
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 4 ayes
11) Moved by Wittkopf second by Destache to adjourn. M/C
