Minutes of the Wage & Personnel meeting held on Wednesday, April 28th, 2010 pursuant to notice duly given.

1. Meeting called to order by Chairperson Schreiber at 4:00 p.m.

2. Roll Call: Al Schreiber, Jack Maas, Marlene Zahn and John Wittkopf. Absent: Jim Stiloski. Also present: Mayor Fulton, Don Phillips, Fire Chief, Atty. Kalny and Linda Belongia Administrator and as recording secretary.

3. Moved by Zahn seconded by Maas to approve of the agenda as presented.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 4 ayes

4. Belongia reported from last meeting that brief discussion was held on use of city equipment and that the city had a policy on this; our policy is for
vehicle use not computers;

5. Chairperson Schreiber stated the committee may vote to convene into Closed Session pursuant to notice duly given and as allowed by Wis. Stats. 19.85(c), (e)
& (g) to meet with legal counsel regarding negotiation strategy and the Oconto
Firefighter’s Local 2739.
Moved by Zahn seconded by Wittkopf to convene into Closed Session at 4:02 p.m.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 4 ayes

Closed Session

4:25 p.m. Fire union represented by Chad Bronkhorst, John Reed and Andrew Hoppe joined the closed session.

4:30 p.m. union left the closed session

6. Moved by Wittkopf seconded by Zahn to reconvene into Open Session at 5:15 p.m. pursuant to notice duly given by Wis. Stats. 19.85(2).
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 4 ayes

7. Next meeting, 5/13 at 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. with union; also the mediation meetings on 5/18 & 5/20.

8. Moved by Zahn seconded by Maas to adjourn. M/C
