Board of Trustees Meeting, April 27, 2010
The meeting was called to order by President Lacourciere at 7:02 P.M.
1. Roll Call: Present – Ballestad, Bucheger, Lacourciere, Gering, Maas, Peterson, and Director
Murphy. Absent – Guse, Loberger and Gilbert
2. Minutes of March 23, 2010 minutes were approved as printed, M/S/C Ballestad, Maas
3. Director’s Report
a. The Board welcomed new City Council Appointee – Jack Maas
b. Bills dated 3/30 /2010 in the amount of $147.32 and 4/13/2010 in the amount of $2,299.40 were approved as presented. M/S/C Bucheger, Gering
c. YTD Income, Expenditures and Deposits were reviewed
d. Murphy updated on the status of the Gates/NFLS Public Internet Computer Grants. Wiring for new computers was completed last Thursday by Ellman’s Electric at a cost of $450. Internet wiring will be completed in early May. This year the Library will receive 4 computers, 1 printer and 1 flat-screen monitor. More equipment will be purchased with next year’s grant money since electrical and computer wiring was completed this year. Discussion was held on UPS for library computers.
e. Fire & Security Install Project – Installation is complete and system has been tested. Still need to complete the automatic dial-up part for the 911 function. Gering will continue working with the county to get this set-up
4. Committee Reports –
a. Administrative / Personnel – Still waiting for two Trustees to do the Director’s Evaluation,
hopefully will have report in May
b. Building and Grounds – none
c. Finance – none

6. Old Business
a. USDA Rural Development: Community Facilities Loans & Grants for Rural Libraries –
Director Murphy has been in contact with the agents about possible projects. The lighting,
carpeting and roof replacement do not qualify because they are considered maintenance on the
building and that is the municipality’s responsibility. Murphy will contact them to see if
emergency lighting would qualify under the grant
b. Photocopier – The photocopier donated by Great Lakes Roofing has arrived and been cleaned
and inspected by Wisconsin Imaging of Green Bay. They will service the copier and provide
black toner for $572/year. Murphy will contact the City to see if they can sell the old one online.
7. New Business – Next meeting: 7 pm Tuesday, May 25 --- 3rd Floor meeting room
