W&P Minutes 5/18/2010

Minutes of the Wage & Personnel meeting held on Tuesday, May 18th, 2010 pursuant to notice duly given.

1. Meeting called to order by Chairperson Schreiber at 4:04 p.m.
2. Roll call: Al Schreiber, Jack Maas, Marlene Zahn and John Wittkopf. Absent: Jim Stiloski. Also present: Atty. Jim Kalny, Steve Morrison, WERC Mediator, Ed Vander Bloomen, Jeff Ruechel and Linda Belongia Administrator and as recording secretary.
3. Moved by Maas seconded by Zahn to approve of the agenda as presented.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 4 ayes
4. No correspondence or public input.
5. Chairperson Schreiber stated the committee may vote to convene into Closed Session pursuant to notice duly given and as allowed by Wis. Stats. 19.85(1) (c), (e) & (g) to meet with legal counsel regarding negotiation strategy and the Wisconsin Professional Police Association.
Moved by Wittkopf seconded by Zahn to convene into Closed Session at 4:05 p.m.
Motion carried upon verbal roll call vote. 4 ayes 1 absent

Closed Session
Included in the closed session: Steve Morrison, Ed Vander Bloomen and Jeff Ruechel.

6. Moved by Zahn seconded by Wittkopf to reconvene open session at 5:13 p.m.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 4 ayes

7. Next Wage & Personnel meeting, Thursday May 20th, 2010 with the Teamsters.

8. Moved by Wittkopf seconded by Maas to adjourn. M/C
