MINUTES OF THE MEETING FOR THE
PARK & RECREATION COMMITTEE
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 2, 2011
OCONTO CITY PARK

1. Meeting called to order by Chairperson Young at 5:19 p.m.
2. Roll Call: Brian Rice, Russ Young, Vicki Grunow and John Wittkopf
Excused: Paul Welch
Also present: Kale Proksch
3. Moved by Rice seconded by Grunow to approve agenda as presented.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 4 ayes
4. Chairperson Young stated the board may vote to convene into Closed Session pursuant to notice duly given and as allowed by Wis. Stats. 19.85(1) (c) for review of applicants for seasonal park and recreation positions.
Moved by Grunow seconded by Rice to approve to convene into Closed Session at 5:20 p.m.
Motion carried upon verbal roll call vote. 4 ayes

CLOSED SESSION

5. Moved by Grunow seconded by Rice to convene into Open Session at 5:50 p.m. pursuant to notice duly given and as allowed by Wis. Stats. 19.85(2).
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 4 ayes

6. Discussion/Recommendation on:
a. Applicants to be interviewed for seasonal position;
Moved by Wittkopf seconded by Grunow to schedule joint meeting with Wage & Personnel Committee to interview Campground Manager and review other seasonal hiring recommendations as well.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 4 ayes
b. Proposals for Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan;
Proksch stated that $15,000 was budgeted…review proposals at next meeting from all firms except Mead and Hunt because they were over the budgeted amount;

7. Moved by Wittkopf seconded by Rice to adjourn meeting at 6:00 p.m. M/C
