Police & Fire Commission Minutes

Minutes of the Police & Fire Commission meeting held on Tuesday, April 28th, 2009 at city hall pursuant to notice duly given.

1. Meeting called to order by President Dick Olson at 3:30 p.m.
2. Roll call: Dick Olson, Tim Longsine, Steve Gering, Gene Berth and Ron Hayes. Also present: Mayor Nerenhausen, Dennis Ladwig and Linda Belongia, Administrator and as recording secretary.
3. Moved by Gering seconded by Hayes to approve of the agenda as presented.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 5 ayes
4. Correspondence/Public Input: Olson stated he received a request from Mike Hoppe asking permission to be able to keep his helmet upon his retirement.
Verbally consensus of the commissioners was to allow Mr. Hoppe to keep his
helmet.
5. Olson stated the commission may vote to convene into Closed Session pursuant to notice duly given and as allowed by Wis. Stats. 19.85(1) (c) for discussion on the
position of an Interim Fire Chief.
Moved by Hayes seconded by Gering to convene into Closed Session at 3:30 p.m.
Motion carried upon roll call vote. 5 ayes

Mayor Nerenhausen and Dennis Ladwig also included in the closed session.

Closed Session

6. Moved by Hayes seconded by Longsine to reconvene into Open Session at 3:40 p.m.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 5 ayes

7. Moved by Hayes seconded by Gering to offer the position of Interim Fire Chief to Dennis Ladwig.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 5 ayes

8. Moved by Gering seconded by Hayes to adjourn. M/C
Meeting adjourned at 3:55 p.m.
