Special Harbor meeting minutes held on February 15, 2010

“Unapproved”

1.) Meeting called to order by Chairperson Hayes @ 1 p.m.
2.) Roll Call: Members Present: Ken Hayes, William Pries, Ellis Mercier, Dick Doeren, John Mick. Others Present: Mayor Nerenhausen, Bob Mommaerts, Kale Proksch, Dennis Steigenberger, John Wittkopf, Linda Belongia, Ted Jennejohn and Dave Wentland.
3.) Approval of agenda: Motion by Doeren second by Pries to approve of agenda as presented. 5 ayes. M/C.
4.) Public Input: None.
5.) Correspondence: None.
6.) Presentation from Allen Dock for the boat piers: Slide show was presented by Dave Wentland, representative from Allen Dock. Would there be a saving by removing side wood. Can we do a direct purchase to save taxes? Can we do 5 or 6 foot wide on 50 foot docks? Ted Jennejohn from McMullen & Pitz will get proposals to Dennis on some of these options; Hayes stated the Mayor
7.) Discussion/possible recommendation/updates on the following:
a.) On Park Benches & Trees: How many benches & trees. 4 foot benches $14.00; 6 foot benches $16.00. Five new benches. Table benches & pads for next meeting.
b.) Street Lights: Reviewed cost of lights. Keep the double light but eliminate electrical outlets and plant hooks.
8.) Adjournment: Motion by Doeren second by Mercier to adjourn @ 2:55 p.m. 5 ayes. M/C.
