AGENDA
These will be open meetings and notice has been given to the public at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the meeting by forwarding the complete agenda to the Oconto County Reporter. Copies of the agenda were available for inspection at the office of Administrator and on the City’s website calendar:

1. Meeting called to order by Chairperson Maas.

5. Discussion/recommendation on:
a. Finance Committee will discuss the Fire/Ambulance Contract/Renewal and then information or a future meeting for the townships will be set.
b. Recommendation from Tourism to have Finance appropriate $10,500 for a billboard with the Chamber of Commerce contributing $1,500. Total of billboard will be $12,000.00
c. Listing of accounts payables for $1,035,971.22; payroll for $114,853.19; and financial reports.
6. Adjourn.
5:30 p.m. Public Hearing on Proposed Special Assessments
Preliminary The Governing Body hereby declares its intention to
exercise its police power under Section 66.0703, Wis. Stats., to levy special assessments upon property in the assessment district hereafter described for benefits conferred upon such property by reason of the following public works improvements: Sanitary Sewer
Lateral, Storm Sewer Lateral, Water Service Lateral, Curb & Gutter and Driveway Apron, OC-10-A.
The hearing shall be held in the Municipal Building, Council
Chambers, 1210 Main Street, Oconto, WI 54153 on Tuesday, June 7th, 2011 at 5:30p.m. pursuant to Council action in accordance with 66.0703(17) (a), Wisconsin Statutes.
Any and all persons for or against will be heard.

Recommendations from Finance Committee

Recommendation from BPW
c. Approve of Easement across Lot 3, Jefferson Heights Plat, for sidewalk from Wm. Bake Circle to elementary school as part of the SRTS grant.
d. Approve of advertisement for bids for grass cutting on private property which is in violation of the grass cutting ordinance.
e. Reestablish our voting wards as part of County’s redistricting plan.
f. Report from Al Schreiber on petition regarding deer problem.
g. Accept resignation from Steve Gering from the Police & Fire Commission, said term to expire 5/1/2016.
h. Approve of appointment of Beth Larson to the Industrial Development Commission for a term to expire 5/1/2013.
i. Listing of applications for an operator’s license and Temporary Class B licenses.
j. Approval of application for a Combination Class B from Jonathan Weigelt for JD’S Sports Bar, 914 Main Street, Oconto, WI for July 1st, 2011 through June 30th, 2012.
6. Public Hearing, Tuesday, June 14th, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. followed by the Regular Council Meeting at 6:00 p.m. or immediately following the hearing.
7. Adjourn.
Immediately following will be a Special Council meeting for the following:
1. Mayor called the meeting to order
2. Roll Call
3. Invocation and pledge of allegiance by Alderperson Maas.
4. Approval of Agenda
5. Discussion/approval of Final Resolution for special assessments on Cook Avenue from Charles Street to Evergreen Road.
6. Discussion/action on accepting bid for grass cutting on private property that is in violation of the city’s grass cutting ordinance.
7. Adjourn.
