Minutes of the Wage & Personnel committee meeting held on Tuesday, July 13th, 2011 pursuant to notice duly given.
1. Meeting called to order at 8:00 a.m. by Chairperson Schreiber.
2. Roll call: Al Schreiber, Jack Maas, Marlene Zahn, John Wittkopf and Terri Berth. Also present: Mayor Fulton, Atty. Calvert, Kale Proksch, Ron Hayes and Linda Belongia Administrator and as recording secretary.
3. Moved by Zahn seconded by Wittkopf to approve of the agenda as presented.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 5 ayes
4. No correspondence or public input.
5. Chrm. Schreiber stated the committee may vote to convene into Closed Session at approx 8 a.m. pursuant to notice duly given and as allowed by Wis. Stats. 19.85[1] [c], & [e] for discussion on public employees that the governing body has jurisdiction over:
a. Recommendation from BPW and OUC to hire John Walker full time to split work between all departments.
b. Proposal from Robert J. Mommaerts P.E. to reduce his hours from 40 to 35 and hourly wage accordingly plus benefits.
Moved by Wittkopf seconded by Zahn to convene into Closed Session at 8:02 a.m.
Motion carried verbal roll call vote. 5ayes

6. Moved by Wittkopf seconded by Zahn to reconvene into Open Session at 9:15 a.m.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 5 ayes
Moved by Wittkopf seconded by Berth to accept recommendation from BPW and OUC to hire John Walker full time and refer this recommendation to Finance to find the funding for the hours and benefits.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote.
3 ayes: Maas, Berth and Wittkopf. 2 no: Schreiber and Zahn
Moved by Wittkopf seconded by Maas to recommend to Com of the Whole approval of request from Robert J. Mommaerts, P.E. Director of Public Services to reduce his hours from 40 to 35 and hourly wage accordingly plus benefits.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 4 ayes 1 no Zahn
7. Moved by Wittkopf seconded by Maas to adjourn. M/C
