Minutes of the Wage & Personnel meeting held on Tuesday, January 19th, 2010 pursuant to notice duly given.

1. Meeting called to order at 5:09 p.m. by Chairperson Schreiber.
2. Roll call: Al Schreiber, Jack Maas, Jim Stiloski and John Wittkopf. Excused: Marlene Zahn. Also present: Mayor Nerenhausen, Atty. Kalny and Linda Belongia Administrator and as recording secretary.
3. Moved by Maas seconded by Stiloski to approve of the agenda as presented.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 4 ayes
4. No correspondence or public input.

6. Chairperson Schreiber stated the committee may vote to convene into Closed
Session pursuant to notice given and as allowed by Wis. Stats. 19.85[1][e] & [g] for discussion on public employees that the governing body has jurisdiction over.
Moved by Wittkopf seconded by Maas to convene into Closed Session at 5:10 p.m.
Motion carried upon verbal roll call vote. 4 ayes 1 absent

Closed Session

7. Moved by Stiloski seconded by Maas to reconvene into Open Session at 5:30 p.m.
Motion carried upon verbal voice vote. 4 ayes

5. Wage & Personnel was joined by the Oconto Firefighters Local 2739 represented by John Reed and Andrew Hoppe for the initial exchange of proposals at 5:30 p.m. Reed stated they will have their union representative at the next meeting; Hoppe will give the contact info for their representative to Belongia;

Exchange of proposals; copies provided to Belongia for the file.

5:40 p.m. Reed and Hoppe left meeting, will have their union representative contact Atty. Kalny for next meeting date.

Atty. Kalny stated he will cost out impact of firefighters proposal for a 3% increase in wages;

8. No meeting date set at this time. Atty. Kalny will get some available date from the firefighters union representative and contact Belongia.

9. Moved by Wittkopf seconded by Stiloski to adjourn. M/C
