Forestry meeting minutes held on August 11, 2010

1.) Meeting called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Brian Rice.
2.) Roll Call: Members present: Brian Rice, Don Denor & Jim Hornblad & Terry Bendt. Others Present: Kale Proksch.
3.) Approval of agenda as presented: Motion by Denor second by Hornblad to approve of agenda as presented. 4 ayes. M/C.
4.) Approval of meeting minutes from 7/14/2010: Motion by Hornblad second by Denor to approve of meeting minutes from 7/14/2010 as presented. 4 ayes. M/C.
5.) Public Input: None.
6.) Correspondence: None.
7.) Discussion/possible recommendation/update on the following:
a.) DNR class: September 27th , 4 members & city workers @ $25 per person. Motion by Bendt second by Hornblad to approve of attending the DNR Class on September 27th at $25.00 a person. 4 ayes. M/C.
b.) Tree Door Hanger: Final version next meeting.
c.) Tree Sale for homeowners: Spring/Arbor Day. Tabled.
d.) Tree Id @ Sharp Park: Kale & county forester walked around looking at trees approximately 10 varieties, would like to include elementary school for help to put signs in, also remove buckthorn (maybe boy scouts).
8.) Next meeting date/time/agenda items: Wednesday, September 15th @ 9:00 a.m.
