Harbor Commission Meeting minutes from 9/23/2010

1.) Meeting Called to order by Chairperson Hayes @ 4:00 p.m.
2.) Roll Call: Members Present: Ken Hayes, William Pries, Ellis Mercier, John Mick. Others Present: Mayor Fulton, Kale Proksch.
3.) Approval of agenda: Motion by Mercier second by Pries to approve of agenda as presented. 4 ayes. M/C.
4.) Approval of 8/26/2010 meeting minutes: Motion by Mercier second by Pries to approve of the meeting minutes from 8/26/2010 as presented. 4 ayes. M/C.
5.) Public Input: None.
6.) Correspondence: None.
7.) Discussion/possible recommendation/updates on the following:
a.) Memorial Bench Location – Carol Luebeck: Kale reviewed location. Agreed on location by boat ramps.
b.) Harbor layout Master plan for 2011: Reviewed marking docks with numbers and additional signage.
c.) Fishing Tournament/Cruiser Recap: Mayor gave update on both. Very positive for everyone involved.
d.) Special Events/Ideas for 2011: Kale gave an update and reviewed the draft of events. Also reviewed ribbon cutting.
e.) Flags for flag pole & light post: Kale order signal flags for the Flag pole that will go up next spring. Review if we want international flags or others on the light post.
f.) Boat Launch signs on County Y: Kale gave up date.
Parks Report:

8a.) Oconto River (John): Mayor talked about dredging review etc. John will assist with depth reading.
8b.) Breakwater boat ramps/boat slips (Willie): None.
8c.) City Docks/Holtwood boat ramps (Ellis): None.
8d.) Fishing Tournaments/Special events (Dick): None.
8e.) Breakwater Park /Causeway (Ken): None.
8f.) Breakwater Inspection Report (Kale): Kale talked about trees that have been marked for removal at the breakwater.
9.)Approval of Accounts payable for September 2010 in the amount of $1,380.42: Motion by Willie second by Mercier to approve of accounts payable for September 2010 in the amount of $1,380.42.

10.) Review Revenue & Expenditure Guideline for September 2010: Reviewed.
11.) Next meeting date, time, & agenda items: October 21, 2010 @ 4 p.m. @ City Hall.
12.) Adjournment: Motion by Mercier second by Mick to adjourn at 5:05pm
